Young Explorers Preschool

About us
Young Explorers aims to give young children the opportunity to explore, imagine and connect with nature, in nature. We are an outdoor setting, based in a garden within a stone's throw of adventures in fields, streams, woods, church yards, and a farm.
Opening times
Tuesdays 9am -2pm
Wednesdays 9am - 2pm
Thursdays 9am - 2pm
Your child can attend 1, 2 or 3 sessions a week.
Upper Swainswick is a small village 3 miles northeast of Bath, off the A46 dual carriageway, or at the top end of Gloucester Road (which has Alice Park at the bottom end).

What a typical session is like
Isa and her team welcome the children who are dropped off at the garden outdoor base in the beautiful Swainswick Valley.
Isa has planned a morning activity based on her early years curriculum such as painting, printing natural objects, hammering, playing with cars. We break for a healthy snack. We chat and read stories. The group then decides if we should go for a walk or explore the garden. A favourite outing is going down to the stream where we play in the water, make fishing rods, and look out for sharks! We love to use our imaginations.
Then back to base for lunch and parents collect.
